In their February 2020 session, Juliet Sanders was unanimously approved for membership. Sanders is an Administrative Officer for the Garrett County Health Department where she helps children and young families of Garrett County. Prior to that, she worked as a substitute teacher in the Garrett County School system for 8 years with a focus on Special Education. Sanders is also a former Board member and volunteer for the Garrett Lakes Arts Festival (GLAF) and the Believe In Tomorrow organization with respite houses on Wisp mountain that provide families with terminally ill children a place to be together outside of the hospital setting.
Sanders is the daughter of Guy Altiero and Phyllis Vandergrift of Niles, Ohio. She moved to the area from Frederick, MD in 2011 with her husband, Keith and their two children.
